Cairngorm

Lochan Buidhe

I'll take advantage of the free WiFi as I'm seating at Scotland's highest restaurant (so they claim, I didn't check) to upload some random pictures from today's hike.

It's a restaurant with a view too. Which I will stay and admire as long as I can, the bus back isn't for another couple hours.

So I went up Cairngorm! In a bit less than four hours, I took the long way around. I'm shattered.

I lost the path a couple of times, mostly because of the snow still lying around, but never did a big detour. And there were many other people doing that walk too.

Just under the summit there is a high altitude restaurant (where I'm sitting now) and a funicular, which I will be very happy to ride down.

A welcome view at the end of the walk. In the background is Loch Morlich, and the forest of Rothiemurchus
