Newtonmore and the Highland Folk Museum
Yesterday I was in Newtonmore, where I visited this outdoor museum made of homes and customs of people from the Highlands. Very educational!
I learned that Highlanders have played for a very long time, and still play now, a sport called shinty, which is played with sticks (camans) and a small ball. This sport might have been the ancestor of ice hockey!

Then in the evening I went to a traditional Scottish music session in nearby Kincraig, with a lovely bunch of people :-) I had an excellent time!
On my way to Dunkeld now!
