Glenmore forest, An Lochan Uaine and Loch Morlich

The beach at Loch Morlich

Today is the day I didn't go up Meall a' Bhuachaille (The Herd's Hill, a summit in the Glenmore park) although I wish I had because the name is really cool (and the views are awesome, they say)

I had the choice between this 4.5 hour walk or sitting on the beach at Loch Morlich and then have a hot drink in a cafe, and after yesterday, my preference went to the latter.

I still walked about 13 km in total along the old logging way to Glenmore and then up to An Lochan Uaine (The Green Lochan) which is beautiful.

Then I went down to the beach, had a lazy time sitting in the sand, and then had a tea. A pretty good day!

An Lochan Uaine

I was harassed twice by hungry mallards!

A tribute to Norwegian soldiers who lived and trained here during WWII
